The Grand Lido Visitors Hangout

This was our first trip to Braco and our second to Jamaica in the last year. We were at Hedo 3 last Christmas/New Year and traveled to Desire resort over this past labor day. We are both really glad that we have experienced all three resorts as we now have an understanding of what we want out of a vacation. I will start with Braco and briefly touch on some aspects of the other resorts. The arrival was fine and the check in went smooth. Some may disagree because there was a fairly large number of check-ins at the same time and it was raining but I am not one to throw a fit or get upset when I am on vacation I will do that when I get back to work---I hate that four letter word!! We walked up to our room on a/n side and right away loved the room. It was by far the nicest room we have stayed in [comparing to the other resorts]. Room 3050 awesome view of the ocean. We loved the balcony and the French doors. We left them open at night as there was a good wind all week blowing in. as many are starting to read from other reports the weather was pretty bad almost all week. Having a nice room was a big plus as we spent a lot of time in there. In fact we watched a lot of movies-good thing for cable. Yes the weather was bad but it still was nice to lay next to each other and watch movies –just relax. We are both active in sports and the gym was the best we have seen. Very, very nice. We both had manicures and pedicures but hers started to chip in two days. I personally have never had that done before and was embarrassed as all heck but I did it. She would definitely have it done before we go as it seems to last longer than having it done there. Breakfast was as good as usual, my favorite meal of the day. I have realized after two trips to Jamaica that I really don’t care for Jamaican food. We ate at the Italian place a few times which was good, my personal preference. We tried to make reservations on the first morning for both the French and Japanese restaurants but both were booked all week. She did make reservations before we left for the manicure guess we should have done that with dinner also. During the day we laid out at the nude pool as much as the weather allowed. I was given the nickname of Mr. Hummer by Merle, in Jamaica it was ok but I don’t think it would fly to well here in the states. Anyway I was given that name because of my ability to drink hummingbirds one after another. Funny it only takes about a minute and a half to drink one and I really never felt anything from drinking them, but they sure are good. dirty bananas are imitation as the hurricanes wiped out all of the banana crops –so we were told. We did eat lunch on the nude side. Lamb chops were good first time we have had them. Sometimes we went up to the room and ordered a burger from room service which was very good and only took about twenty minutes or so. As far as the pool area, very beautiful plain and simple. After dinner we really enjoy the hot tubbing. We love to fill our big mugs and relax for a few hours talking to people in the hot tub. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT !!!! Only one day the small hot tub worked and that was only until it got so hot we were afraid of getting burnt. The large hot tub—again this is on the nude side, never really worked. Sure the jets finally made it on but it was always cool to cold. We are not big partiers in the disco and we really missed our evenings in the hot tub. Also one day for us we had no hot water, I guess that was not so bad as some people had no hot water for four days. The bad thing is we work out in the gym for a while in the morning and could not take a shower until 6 that night. It was too cold to go swimming and again the hot tubs did not work, that was kind of a bad day. I believe this was one of the two days we got for our no sun voucher. We did have a very nice time and probably will go back some time.

Some of the notes I can still remember. Why in the world do some men and women come to the nude side and stay in their suits? I can understand first timers and taking their time, I mean we were there once, but to stay that way, four hours? I don’t understand. We are both in our mid thirties and at Braco it seemed that we were younger than most couples. There were a lot of young people there but they seemed to be on the other side. We did win the sexy couple at pj night that was nice we had never won anything ever before.

We have been blessed to have been able to take these trips to these three resorts within the last year. We enjoy a little sexual atmosphere like what is at Hedo and at Desire. We found that to be non-existant at Braco. She likes to wear risqué dresses which are found at Hedo and Desire. Braco has sexy and elegant but not risqué. At least none that we saw. We love to sit in the hot tubs at night and socialize with others, couldn’t do that at Braco. All three are wonderful resorts all unique in there own way. We did have a very good time at Braco the staff was awesome and the place was beautiful, and we didn’t want to go home. Thank you to all who made our trip fabulous.
